In the second segment Carl spoke with Alan Long of the Shasta County Board of Supervisors. Aland is the supervisor of District 2 which includes Centerville, French Gulch, Igo, Keswick, Ono, Platina, Southwestern Redding, Shasta.

This morning Carl hosted the New Stages Theatre Company’s Summer Musical Theatre Intensive. They came on the show to talk about their upcoming performance of FOOTLOOSE, THE MUSICAL In the second hour Carl hosted Miranda Edwards Favorite-Senior Director of Organizational Communications. Miranda Edwards Favorite was raised in Redding and is a Redding Rancheria Tribal Member of Pit River descent. She received her BA in Psychology from Stanford University. Before going back to school to pursue a master’s degree, she worked in a research lab focused on the impact of early life stressors on depression and anxiety in adolescents. She then received her MA in Human Rights Education from the University of San Francisco writing her thesis entitled, “Colonial Gender Roles and the Impact on Violence Against Indigenous Women in the US.

This morning Carl and Linda hosted Korean War Veterans Frank Rose and Dick Wilkerson for the latest updates and events. In the second hour, Carl hosted Undersheriff Gene Randall who began his law enforcement career in 1999 when he was hired by the Plumas County Sheriff's Office as a deputy sheriff and assigned to the Patrol Division. He served the residents of Plumas County for nearly four years before transferring to the Red Bluff Police Department in October 2003. In 2010, Undersheriff Randall was hired by the Shasta County Sheriff's Office, where he continues serving the citizens of our great county.
