I support changing military retirement to a 401c type instead of retirement at 20. At least partial. Many officers and NCOs would be better off getting out at 14,16 or 18 and being in the inactive or active reserve.

A passed over lieutenant, LCDR, captain or major hanging on for 20 is often not very motivated or effective.

Passed over Lt or Captains don't stay in for 20. They are forced out

Too many officers take off two years to get a masters degree. Some take off four years to get two!. For example, Congressman Martha McSally, retired USAF colonel. They would be better off doing exchange tours with other services or with our allies.

The Nature Conservacy says a properly managed forest uses 25% less water. Instead of a forest choked with small growth losing water to evapotransporation, a thinned forest allows water to go into the groundwater.

Golf courses will survive with much less water. Lawns may not be emerald green, but they can still golf with slightly green
