Happy Hump Day!

Fireworks are a fun family day every year...many folks feel it is wrong to put the surrounding land in danger of fire, thus having to use the resources of the fire department to put out a man made fire. They may be needed elsewhere for another fire. Yet, we all look forward to the special day and
Sungold:
a great community event.
Sungold:
It is not unusual for small spot fires to start during the Freedom Festival, but RFD is staged right there to take care of it.
ProducerBadBob:
But I would suggest that there are those who will use any possible excuse to further denigrate and suppress anything that might be construed as Patriotism or Christian Morality.
Sungold:
Whew, that was something!
ProducerBadBob:
we were rolling on the floor
Sungold:
Yep, hear them everyday.
Sungold:
I almost laughed myself out of my chair, talk about fire and brimestone

Somebody should talk to Sally Rapoza. She is a real embarasment to conservatives. The R-S covered her chemtrails nonsense online. Chemtrails kooks were one of the things which killed the tea party.
Carl:
HI OG--missed you

If Rapoza does not want to learn the geology for why there is more aluminum in volcanoes than in the sedimentary rock and soil of the valley, she should at least keep her theories out of the newspaper.
ProducerBadBob:
My wife is a PROFESSIONAL weather forecaster (not the TV kind) don't get her started on CT's.....OR Man Made Climate Change...
Sungold:
I'd love to hear her BB, we should have a breakfast and invite her to come and speak
Sungold:
Or Carl could have her on the program some morning
ProducerBadBob:
And lest someone accuse her of being part of the "Conspiracy" I can safely say I've never seen a check from "Them" on her desk.
ProducerBadBob:
After 33 years of watching weather...she probably knows a thing or two...
Sungold:
I'm sure she does, that is why she would be interesting to listen to.
Sungold:
We love the ambiance at View 202....hope this chef can make a go of it. Redding needs a fine dining place, now that Anselmos is on the market again, we really, really need this place.

Will the Chef bring back the almond trout dish (from the Hatchcover)?
Sungold:
Lots of foodies in this town who want it too.
Sungold:
We love excellent fish dishes and it is sorely lacking in this meat and potatoes population

Morning
Carl:
Hi Red--vaccinations got your interest?
Red:
Oh yeah, we've been reporti g on it
Red:
Eureka has one, medford has one
Red:
Why no mental health facility here?
Red:
I think we've seen some leadership with people coming up with ideas and solutions
Red:
Just not from elected officials
Red:
It's been citizens busting their butts....to get ignored
Red:
April LaFrench and her people perfect example

Please ask the guest how she feels about maintaining Redding's city budget by keeping Costco within the city limits. Thanks.
Foreman:
The issue I'm speaking of is that Costco is considering moving outside Redding city limits. That would destroy the city's budget, thus reducing public safety, number of police officers, etc. Horrible impacts to us!

Hi Jarhead
Jarhead:
Hola
Foreman:
City staff is trying to squelch that rumor, but Costco is definitely running thin trying to get the city to approve Oasis.
Red:
I heard they're already negotiating with Anderson Foreman
SYSTEM:
Please welcome TheBestRedding who just joined the chat.
Foreman:
You're right Red. Costco has HAD it with Redding politics. City council (majority) is not business friendly.
TheBestRedding:
Costco is a great example of why Mark L. can't fill Stillwater. It has more to do with red tape and hindrances to businesses thriving in Redding
Foreman:
Redding is going to lose a huge revenue stream as well as lose the future HUGE revenue as Costco at Oasis would be like a magnet for large companies like Bass Pro and Fred Meyer.
Red:
Oh they are....if you want to buy their friends property or use their contractors
Foreman:
I'm wondering if today's guest would move city council towards better business environment or is she just like them, maybe worse.
TheBestRedding:
If we want to keep or grown business here we have to address city barriers that hurt businesses
Red:
Permits
Red:
Traffic studies
Foreman:
I've heard she's in strong with McConnell and Turtle Bay. That doesn't sound like good for attracting businesses to Redding.
TheBestRedding:
Zoning, all of the above
Red:
Anybody asking why are we paying to expand Old Alturas out By Old Oregon?
Foreman:
Red is right on! McConnell runs this town. I'm guessing Julie will be another Weaver. Boy what a disappointment he's turning out to be.
Foreman:
I just heard her say she supports keeping Costco inside Redding limits. Wait till McConnell and Mike Warren hear THAT!
Foreman:
Maybe she doesn't know that Oasis is within city limits. Anyone interested in Redding's budget must certainly be aware of Oasis Road expansion being the key to Redding's future.
Red:
I agree Carl, let's get together and just do it
TheBestRedding:
Sounds like she's her own woman and after whatever will benefit the city
Foreman:
BestRedding -- that's what we were told about Weaver, too.
Red:
Not what we told you about Weaver
Jarhead:
lol... that he was his own woman ?
Foreman:
Government IS the barrier, Julie.
Red:
The solution to a great many problems is jobs
Red:
And Redding is definitely a barrier to jobs
Jarhead:
I agree Red but one of the first steps has to be Redding having trust and confidence in leadership
TheBestRedding:
iI'm not ready to throw the baby out with the bath water.
Jarhead:
and thats obviously not there
Red:
Their are two opposite objectives in Redding growth and jobs from younger folks and business
TheBestRedding:
I understand your disappointment
TheBestRedding:
Jobs are key
Red:
Nesting and biketrails from retirees and environmental foundations
Jarhead:
Carl, don't sing !!!
Foreman:
Speaking of CCW - - how does the guest feel about allowing the city of Redding employees to carry CCW with a permit.
Foreman:
If Tom Bosenko says they can carry, who is the city council to say NO?
Red:
You really think this Council cares about the law? They don't even know the law most of the time
Red:
I got one. How many of our Council could pass an 8th grade Constitution test?
Foreman:
Correct, Red.
Red:
Yeah the right side and the wrong side
Foreman:
Anderson is so open for new business that they enjoy the support of their citizens to the point they voted themselves a tax increase! Redding couldn't get one right now.

Gotta run. Got a Senator and an Assemblyman that need to answer some questions
