Sungold: The City of Redding turned off the water on a section of Shasta View between Castlewood and Rancho because the property owners will not pay for the sprinklers to run. Plants are dead and dry and COR will not do fire mitigation to protect the neighborhood
Angel: I have to say, the sit lie ordinance, (it may be too soon, knock on wood) but I think it is working
Angel: I was out there yesterday Sun, it is dry, also heard a few fire engines, just a matter of time
Sungold: COR told everyone in that area that they were out of money to keep the landscaping watered, That particular neighborhood refused to pay a fee or tax, so they turned off the water
Max: Gee, maybe they will implement a "fire fee" like the state. That is reallly working out well!!!!!!!
Angel: I am out early and with the security at the Sundial and Security moving people out of South City Park, they may be moving on
Sungold: I called the Fire Marshall and told him my concerns, he was very polite but nothing is going to be done

Sungold: This is the landscape area along the city sidewalks

Sungold: One property owner has three huge dead trees that hang over the city sidewalk and are a huge fire hazard. COR sent property owners a warning to cut down the trees yet the City will not take care of their own dry and dead fire hazards
Angel: Seems to me Cal Fire could do something
Sungold: This is city limits....does Cal Fire have any authority?
Angel: I am thinking your home owners insurance is at risk if you don't clear it
Angel: I doubt it, mutual agreements but not sure about citing power ...they are the State
