Sungold: I hope the judge who ordered the release of Graham and the removal of his ankle bracelet, even against the warning of Tom Bosenko, feels really good about her decision by now.

onion_grower: They found a shovel in his truck. Hope forensics can trace the dirt on the shovel to a site.
onion_grower: MNI, publisher of the Bee, stock is $1.04 today. It was over $5.00 a year ago. California newspapers are a good way to lose money.
Sungold: Can't imagine anyone investing in a newspaper.
Sungold: Maybe years ago when they first started, but in this day and age, it seems like a bad idea
Red: Funny....we're investing in a paper and it's growing....hmmmm
Sungold: onion, was it said that dirt was found on the shovel?

Sungold: I am speaking of investors who want to make money from stocks already on the stock market
Red: What do you believe is the reason for the decline of newsprint?
Red: Bill Gates, Carl. Microsoft....
ProducerBadBob: I think that print media is far from dead. it's role has changed. But there is still a place on the desk for a #2 Pencil. Same reason.
Red: Has common core been implemented in Cottonwood?
ProducerBadBob: There is still a turntable in my house and a selection of vinyl records...same reason. It endures, it is physically there which is something volatile media cannot accomplish.
Red: I agree Bob, but subscription numbers are down for many major printhouses
Red: I believe it to be content of format creating the issue though
Red: *not
Sungold: The Record Searchlight used to be a much better paper years ago, only my opinion......we stopped our subscription a few years ago. I find between the radio, and KRCR TV which keeps news up to date, all day on their website, we stay reasonably informed
Sungold: My husband reads international news on his cell, and gets the local scoop each evening on TV
ProducerBadBob: The role is changing but it will not die completely. AM Radio was declared a dead tech decades ago, and that local radio was untenable. Guess Again.
ProducerBadBob: Reason. It's a point to point technology that just works.
Sungold: I get most of my local info on radio
Sungold: have to run
ProducerBadBob: smiles
ProducerBadBob: Well Wishes, Sunny.

Red: you do know that grow was being funded by a Canadian multi-national company?
Jarhead: but the reservation is a sovereign nation...doesn't matter what california does
Red: they were growing using Canadian tax payer money to fund the grow then distributing the marijuana into two different nations
Jarhead: Red, I see your link about Greece....they don't have a 'deal' yet...they have an offer from the Euro nations...but it still needs to be accepted by the Greek ruling party...which would probably mean an end to them by accepting..
Red: that's right
Jarhead: kewl
