Sungold: It will go down eventually. Chickens are not inexpensive to raise and take care off. I used to buy my eggs from Lazy 69 ranch. They finally had to give up on them. Wild critters took out their flocks twice and it got too expensive for them

Sungold: If you want them to lay eggs in winter, you have to provide lights for them to keep them warm and happy, and that alone get expensive when you have hundreds or thousands of them

ProducerBadBob: but Costco has the ones that the can stays and you screw in the new lamp and bezel and it snaps into place.
