All those suggestion are useful and should be done, however parents need to prepare the girl or boy with education, plus a self-defense class is also extremely helpful and gives the student confidence

So many things they need to know before going away, and so many things to warn them about. Even mundane things about the laundry rooms, like...do not leave your laundry in the dryer for days on end. It will be going when you go back for it. Silly, but it happens

I remember Shasta shot down a grant to build new, larger jail. I think they felt Shasta couldn't raise their portion of funds.

Red, my advice is to take the plunge...AFTER you back up all personal files to a external drive. Also any programs that you use frequently, check to make sure they will still run or that you can upgrade to a W10 version.

Also, most on board sound cards will be OK, if you have a dedicated video card, make sure the drivers are up to date before the upgrade. on my Dell Laptop the upgrade went without a hitch and I love it. On the other hand a older desktop was a royal pain.
