craigy: Craig View is A County Service Area district in Northern Shasta County on I-5.

Sungold: Sure , there is work back there.

Sungold: I Googled it and there is one in Colorado

Carl: Its a water district in Shasta county. They voted against the water cost being raised. BOS passed ordinance saying they had to buy low flush toilets etc or fact aarrest inprisonment and fines.

craigy: Craqig View residents were not against paying for more expensive water. They were against paying for 74 acre-feet of extra water when they only needed approx 20 acre-feet. They also pprotested the language in the ordinance

Sungold: I guess Shasta Co. is not aware that the low flush toilets are not efficient. Tells me most of them do not have them in their own homes

Sungold: Our son sold his old toilets in one day, when he remodeled. Can you imagine selling old toilets

WaterWatcher: Interesting that a govt agency can levy such expensive (and it sounds like highly ineffective) mandates like low flow devices into personal homes or the residents face jail time???

WaterWatcher: That same govt agency is known for horrendous water losses itself. Incredible.

Angel: I guess my district, which does not have access to McConnell water and has many rate increases ...but the district has come together to conserve and find good solutions

craigy: No water rate increase since 1998 because the old rate was based an a County prepaired budget that had a substantial balance at the end of each budget year. Seems odd that this is the first year with an County estimated budget without the high balance.

Angel: Yes, I guess I don't know enough about the district but hope they resolve it

Guess: the Chinese paternity group in Oakland had their system down. Bring their women in at 8 months, making sure only a couple of pregnant women on the streets walking at any time so locals don't notice much... fly back within weeks of birth with a birth certificate that guarantees citizenship
