I remember when one of our kids was attending UC San Diego, the "Compton Cookout", promoted by a black comedian got twisted all around as a racist event, it did not even happen on campus, the university president over-reacted and made it a racist event and bent over backwards for the black students

truth of the matter was, hardly any black kids even apply to UCSD, they say they don't feel welcome. Our kid did just fine there and was not in the majority!
