Dave: I am glad the rain is over for a few days. There was a deer in my garage gettinng out of the rain. My dog did not like it.

Dave: Journalism went hard left in the Woodward and Bernstein era. I was at University of Michigan when it happened. Liberals discovered they could bring down an administration. Education departments went far left at the same time.

Dave: Many journalists are so out of touch that they believe they are moderates because they are moderate for a journalism major.

Gref: Too bad they did. It'd be nice to have them go after the current admin with the same fervor.

Sungold: Our sons who moved to Sacramento as soon as they cuuld to go to school and start their lives texted up all weekend with updates on the lake level! Too funny, as if we were not already doing it. They still love Redding ane our lakes

Dave: Mergers and consolidation are the future for journalism. When Gannett takes over the R-S, and runs it for a few months, they will see the numbers. I see them selling it to McClatchy. The Redding Bee would give us better coverage of statewide issues.

Sungold: It is interesting to visit other cities newspaper sites and read the stories. I have noticed that the same story is everywhere...very sad what is happening

Dave: The R-S lost big for its advocacy of homeless first. Homeless first takes ten section 8 vouchers away from current clients 1588 vouchers and gives those ten to homeless.

RTE: let me type that again

Dave: Homeless first does not create new housing vouchers, it just takes ten away from some and gives them to others who are less deserving.

Dave: The best solution is for Alameda, Contra Costa, Sacramento counties to add section 8 vouchers and attract the poor back to the bay area.

Dave: Section 8 is how liberals export poverty and homelessness from the cities to the suburbs and rural America.

RTE: Carol should detail what she wants a government th be... What people are mad about is the socialism. And Maybe she doesn't understand what the UN is doing to us. All of our agencies seem to be aligned with the UN

Sungold: "pop-ups are everywhere" is NO excuse for the get in your face adds. They are annoying, time consuming, and just plain rude. The people know where to go when they want to look up the latest trends

Dave: TV is highly profitable. I would like to see the channel 7 website grow. They could cue stories on the TV show, so people would go to the website to read stories which don't have video.

Sungold: One goes to check on a new purse, and for what seems like forever that dang purse follows you around for months.

RTE: You can subscribe to internet based TV

RTE: Smart people know they are dumb. Dumb people think they are smart.

Sungold: Not sure how that works but pop-ups are even on TV, sometimes blocking a portion of the picture in a corner

RTE: The definition of 'smart' is knowing how stupid you are so you don't keep making the same mistakes.

Dave: The best solution for homelessness is for them to move to wonderfully compassionate Bay Area and Sac.

RTE: The problem is the economy. If we didn't have so many business killing regulations there would be more jobs. This is the reason behind all this homelessnessness
