Shasta is 79% of capacity. 103% of historic average for this date
ProducerBadBob:
1013 feet as of last night's update, the runoff will continue to bring the lake up 2-3 a day at least
Dave:
Those are the numbers as of midnight. The link is http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cdecapp/resapp/resDetailOrig.action?resid=SHA
Dave:
Looking at the graph, the snow on the hills, Shasta could get to 95% by April 1, usually the peak.
Sungold:
314 16 rounded
ProducerBadBob:
yes it's a dyslexic morning for me >
Dave:
Carl's blog on the R-S is excellent. The sale of Journal Media Group to Gannett has been approved by the boards of directors. The only thing holding it up is federal regulators.
SYSTEM:

Dave:
When Gannett takes over, any time now, there will be no more blogs. rgj.com and azcentral.com are two gannett papers, if you want to see what's coming.
Sungold:
I think when no one in the studio is signed on to chat like Bob and Carl do and participate now and then, folks lose interest. Just an observation
Sungold:
I enjoyed Eric and Jake. Jake Mangus is really a great guy, just like his dad.
Jarhead:
Sun, come on, Carl and Bob know that we only like them to sign on so we can abuse them...lol
Jarhead:
Carl, but that generation that was represented at the 'stop' Trump event is the 'want something for nothing' generation
Sungold:
There are zero statesmen among the group running ....so sad and worrisome!
Carl:
,l;p[]]
Jarhead:
unification is overrated... we need to fix stuff and we will not be unified while doing it...the majority will make the fixes
Dave:
I am glad the rain is over for a few days. There was a deer in my garage gettinng out of the rain. My dog did not like it.
Sungold:
Yea but our summer is coming and it gets so hot that even the birds start using Uber....ugh
Sungold:
We have loved the rain.......a few days break is nice, however, hope it comes back so the lake will fill and they need to open the overflow
Sungold:
Love going up to the lake and seeing those huge spills
Sungold:
Dave, we have to carry out little dog out to go potty, she does not like the rain and will not go out by herself.
ProducerBadBob:
36 feet from the top, and the runoff should bring it up at least 2-3 feet a day for the next week or so.
Carl:
test
ProducerBadBob:
pass

Do blogs make money for the paper? Does anewscafe make money? It costs a lot of money to monitor and remove comments.
Gref:
If it bleeds it leads
Dave:
Journalism went hard left in the Woodward and Bernstein era. I was at University of Michigan when it happened. Liberals discovered they could bring down an administration. Education departments went far left at the same time.
Dave:
Many journalists are so out of touch that they believe they are moderates because they are moderate for a journalism major.
Gref:
Too bad they did. It'd be nice to have them go after the current admin with the same fervor.
Dave:
It reminds me of the moderate jihadists who only have two sticks of dynamite on their suicide belt.
Gref:
Or they don't have any dynamite but can become the head of homeland security and stand with the Muslim brotherhood.
Sungold:
Our sons who moved to Sacramento as soon as they cuuld to go to school and start their lives texted up all weekend with updates on the lake level! Too funny, as if we were not already doing it. They still love Redding ane our lakes
Dave:
Mergers and consolidation are the future for journalism. When Gannett takes over the R-S, and runs it for a few months, they will see the numbers. I see them selling it to McClatchy. The Redding Bee would give us better coverage of statewide issues.
Sungold:
It is interesting to visit other cities newspaper sites and read the stories. I have noticed that the same story is everywhere...very sad what is happening
Dave:
Silas Lyons could get a job with Senator Kamala Harris.
Dave:
Congratulations to Ryan Sabalow who left the R-S, went to Indianapolis Star and now writes for the Bee.
ProducerBadBob:
There was a facebook meme about would you live in a cabin in the woods off the grid for one month for 100,000? Hell would do for FREE!!! I'd PAY!
ProducerBadBob:
no news or connection for 30 days? Whoever asked that question clearly never served on a Navy ship....
Dave:
The R-S is harmless and ineffective. So few read it and those who do know it is the voice of local liberal minority in a county which votes 60% republican.
Gref:
Every non vote is q vote foe hillary

Sungold:
Get rid of the parties altogether ad stop putting labels on people.
Sungold:
and
RTE:
Carol shou.d still detail what she wqnts in q government.
Dave:
The R-S lost big for its advocacy of homeless first. Homeless first takes ten section 8 vouchers away from current clients 1588 vouchers and gives those ten to homeless.
RTE:
let me type that again
Dave:
Homeless first does not create new housing vouchers, it just takes ten away from some and gives them to others who are less deserving.
Dave:
The best solution is for Alameda, Contra Costa, Sacramento counties to add section 8 vouchers and attract the poor back to the bay area.
Dave:
Section 8 is how liberals export poverty and homelessness from the cities to the suburbs and rural America.
RTE:
Carol should detail what she wants a government th be... What people are mad about is the socialism. And Maybe she doesn't understand what the UN is doing to us. All of our agencies seem to be aligned with the UN
RTE:
Maybe the record searchlight will hire a bunch of androids...
Sungold:
"pop-ups are everywhere" is NO excuse for the get in your face adds. They are annoying, time consuming, and just plain rude. The people know where to go when they want to look up the latest trends
Dave:
TV is highly profitable. I would like to see the channel 7 website grow. They could cue stories on the TV show, so people would go to the website to read stories which don't have video.
Sungold:
One goes to check on a new purse, and for what seems like forever that dang purse follows you around for months.
RTE:
You can subscribe to internet based TV
RTE:
Smart people know they are dumb. Dumb people think they are smart.
Sungold:
Not sure how that works but pop-ups are even on TV, sometimes blocking a portion of the picture in a corner
RTE:
The definition of 'smart' is knowing how stupid you are so you don't keep making the same mistakes.
Dave:
The best solution for homelessness is for them to move to wonderfully compassionate Bay Area and Sac.
RTE:
The problem is the economy. If we didn't have so many business killing regulations there would be more jobs. This is the reason behind all this homelessnessness
RTE:
I hate laptop keyboards. but my eyes are tired as well. sorry for the extra ness
RTE:
I don't understand...Why should we spend money on an all woman band?
SYSTEM:

RTE:
Regulations and big government is our problem
RTE:
If you want a strong economy you need to attract business.
Sungold:
forming a committee and doing a study is just another way of saying I do not want to deal with this, but want YOU to think I am.
