Be nice if it meant Verizon and AT&T would invest in some damn infrastructure out where I live....
SYSTEM:
Please welcome Dave who just joined the chat.
Dave:
After 7 weeks of missed appointments to fix the problem, I switched to broadvoice over warptwo. The ATT box which connects the line coming down the pole had broken when the nails came out. Windstorms had broken in innards.
ProducerBadBob:
Two words on wireless DATA CAPS
Dave:
ATT is obviously trying to get rid of customers.
ProducerBadBob:
I currently use about 30-50 Gigs of Data. That would cost me upwards of $200.month
Dave:
Warptwo and Clearwire have no data caps. I have the $45/mo plan
ProducerBadBob:
Both of those do not reach my home.
ProducerBadBob:
Been there tested that
Guest:
every dollar I consider spending with ATT is a dollar that I can not spend on a better product that costs less...
ProducerBadBob:
And Mudwise sucks
ProducerBadBob:
mudwire
ProducerBadBob:
the upload speed..which is how I do my business...is abysmal
Dave:
There are hills visible from just about every house in this county. When 5G comes out in a year or two, it will be a better solution.
ProducerBadBob:
I have had reps from both companies on my roof. No go.
SYSTEM:
Please welcome Sungold who just joined the chat.
ProducerBadBob:
Trust me I would GLADLY tell ATT to pack their copper line
Dave:
I suspect that 5G is actually holding up more warp two and clearwire towers. They don't want to invest in something now and have to replace it in a couple years.
Dave:
Warp two added Palo Cedro and Millville about a year ago. A
Sungold:
Good Morning
ProducerBadBob:
When the power goes out...the landline WORLD because they have BATTERIES ... big ones...at the Central Office
ProducerBadBob:
*works
Dave:
I had a power outage yesterday. Is there a battery powered router? Warp two did not work because the router was dead.
Dave:
Warp two was still sending a signal because it is powered by solar panels on Bear Mt.
ProducerBadBob:
That's the problem! by the current regulations, the Telco has to be be able to supply dial tone for at least 12 hours if I remember correctly.
Sungold:
I never knew there were so many choices. We have ATT and get great service. Cell is not good in my block, have to go outside and find a signal.
Dave:
I think when 5G comes to the county, landlines will be unnecessary. Those wires are expensive to maintain. Just the tree trimming is a huge expense. They can deliver bad service, like my seven weeks of no phone, to get rid of landline customers.
Sungold:
Router went out and ATT replaced it at no charge. Guy gave me his card, with his personal cell number and I call him whenever I need service or have a question.
ProducerBadBob:
At what price?
ProducerBadBob:
I am about the farthest thing from a Luddite there is, but I see serious concerns that have not been answered.
Sungold:
I keep a landline for many reasons, one being the convenience of having phones in several rooms, including outside and in the workshop. I refuse to pack my cell all over
Sungold:
Plus if you call 911 from a cell, it goes to the nearest participation CHP office. Landline goes direct to SHASCOM
ProducerBadBob:
I would point out that it's pretty much impossible to hack into a pair of twisted copper wires....
ProducerBadBob:
some kid in Moscow can't shut down the Dial Up
Dave:
With broadvoice, I have e911. My home address is registered with the company, so a 911 knows my address.
Sungold:
911 knows your address anyway, it comes up on their screen if you call from a landline
Dave:
Our 70 mph windstorms and wildfires are the problem with ATT lines. Mine went out because the windstorm overloaded repair crews .
ProducerBadBob:
Interesting story about how the military still uses a floppy disc based system for launching nuclear weapons...again...hard to remote access something like that.
Dave:
I suspect ATT's strategy is to not have enough repair crews and to neglect tree trimming.
Sungold:
Our lines are underground, we have not had any issues with powerouts
Sungold:
Not sure how is all works as far as the transmission goes.
Dave:
ATT can get rid of us by neglecting repair and tree trimming.
ProducerBadBob:
Any time that oversight goes away...the consumer gets it in the shorts.
ProducerBadBob:
Big Believer in Free Market...but you keep em honest too.
Guest:
how much of Lamalfa's money is going to the automatic contribution to the GOP machine.. they are forced each year to make a sizable donation or you don't get on a committee

paper supports Mary because she is a Mike Dahl candidate

moty is NOTHING outside of the box...he has ZERO creativity and the status quo is not going to get us out of our hole

it should have been a 1st amendment lawsuit for denying them their time..

maybe Dahl could put a spin on her campaign...lol

State of Jefferson has done wonders to draw attention to our poor representation in the north state. and geo engineering is real http://gcep.stanford.edu/research/geoengineering.html
Guest:
that group has done an amazing job of demonstrating the lack of representation in the north state and has assisted in exposing the closet southern cal people within our elected positions... they don't want change(won't even discuss it) and want us to move closer to what the southern cal agenda is...
RTE:
It's so interesting how our county is so into carbon credits and then they don[t think that the greenies in our government are putting particulates in our skys.
Guest:
VSO...still no lunch time appts...no logic to that decision..all it takes is an alternate lunch time schedule...poor thinking
RTE:
I can't understand how anyone that can use their eyeballs can't see the long, very ong and spreadding contrails that are very different than the one in the past. NASA found out that adding aluminum to jet fuel gets better milage and spreads the reflectiveness in the clouds.
RTE:
We are living in a big experiment as lab rats for the man made climate changers.
RTE:
http://gcep.stanford.edu/research/geoengineering.html
RTE:
The website is old and believe me, these people are already dumping crap in our lungs and have been for sometime
RTE:
Janet Chandler is also a good candidate. Please don't forget her.
ProducerBadBob:
Well that's all fine...I did choose to ask someone who actually knows how jet engines work...specifically my brother in law who happens to be an aerospace engineer for Honeywell...
Guest:
60% of veterans in the area are younger than vietnam era and most are possibly working...where is the logic of not having lunch hour appts
RTE:
Jet piolets don't have rear view mirrors, I know piolets that say different
Guest:
what a lame excuse
Guest:
each rep could have ONE day each week that they cover lunch appts
ProducerBadBob:
I can pretty confidently state that any meaningful concentration of metallic aluminum in J1 Fuel burning at 2000C is a really bad idea.
Guest:
have these people never been managers ?
RTE:
aluminum is being added to jet fuel... Nasa has done studies... it makes it combust better
ProducerBadBob:
Fine...
Guest:
no leadership....Lee's is dictating...that office brings in 80 + million each year to this community... stand up for the vets
RTE:
I think if it is being done it should be stopped, but they are hiding behind it being a secret program being a weather control program... using that to keep the public at bay
RTE:
China Russia and the US are competing to cntrol the weather. It has been secret because it is a military effort
ProducerBadBob:
http://contrailscience.com/what-in-the-world-are-they-spraying/
ProducerBadBob:
Kind of a fan of the Scientific Method
RTE:
Just an opinion page... can;t let those people know about secret programs
ProducerBadBob:
My wife is a professional meteorologist...35 years at it. Unless she's really good at hiding it...she's not on the Evil Empire Payroll. She's seen no evidence of this plot. I take her word over the internet.
ProducerBadBob:
She would notice if there was a sudden change in the skies

Please welcome Moseabee who just joined the chat.
RTE:
I've never seen so many spreading contrails in my life. Come on Bob, you know that the libs like Obama believe that the climate is changed by man.
Moseabee:
Guest the county employees work too
RTE:
You and I know it is solar. but these guys are paying themselves as scientist whether we like it or not... we have to stop them
Moseabee:
They deserve a lunch as well
Moseabee:
Guest, you take time off for other appointments, and you pay for those. These guys are trying to get you paid for a service connection
Moseabee:
Keep in mind they ARE NOT VETERANS AFFAIRS.
ProducerBadBob:
Fact: The climate is changing...Fact...the Climate has ALWAYS been changing for various reasons...Yosemite Valley was carved by glaciers...there are no more glaciers there because the earth...warmed...Evidence shows that there is an impact by human activity, but the extent remains in doubt. People
Guest:
Moseabee... they can still have lunch...try to be a little creative... managers have been doing it for years... management 101
ProducerBadBob:
Cherry pick date to suit their own wanted outcomes.
ProducerBadBob:
*data
Moseabee:
LOL
RTE:
sun changes our climate... I know I am not a man made change guy
Moseabee:
I try changing government unions
Guest:
no one said they shouldn't have lunch..
Moseabee:
Those folks work longer hours then expected. They work harder than the current a o
RTE:
The human impact on climate is miniscule. I just hate the fact that we have our money being spent on geoengineering projects.
Moseabee:
Dang phone...c. a. O. Larry lees
Guest:
if these guys can't come up with a solution that keeps them open at lunch for the Veterans that are working to have access then they should be lead not leaders...I agree...Larry is the headwind
Moseabee:
I went in and Celestina work through her lunch on my casr
Moseabee:
Lol...they are open.
RTE:
Thank god i wasen't sworn to secrecy when I served in the USAF snf that is the way that this contrail thing is being hidden
Guest:
shouldn't be an exception...it should be the norm ...
Moseabee:
Duke, the guy fired for sexual harassment changed the hours
Guest:
he changed a lot of things...lol and not for the better
Guest:
and his replacement was even worse...lol
Moseabee:
Mac, the 2nd v s o, who quit didn't care for veterans just himself and some self appointed leaders
Guest:
weren't these guys all Air Force ?
Moseabee:
Agreed. Mac was not trained. He was a doctor! Lol
Moseabee:
Yep
Guest:
lol...doctor... thats funny
Moseabee:
Guy was scared of his shadow
RTE:
I live in Redding but with the vet clinic I/m under Trinity
Guest:
CARL, we have a COMMON denominator..... these guys have ALL been Air Force !!!!
Moseabee:
Tommy is excellent!
Moseabee:
RTE. Trinity is just a section of a wing
RTE:
never understud that
Moseabee:
Doesn't matter what your address is. You can ask for a different primary care doctor
Guest:
he is getting there.... will be 100% behind him when he starts asserting himself with Larry....that office brings in 80+ million to this community each year and yet they are trteated like step children when it comes to the budget dollars
Guest:
treated
Moseabee:
Agreed...they should be paid as much as a deputy
Moseabee:
Sheriff takes money that the v s o brings in
RTE:
I'm in good shape, i really feel bad about how some of the people look like in the waiting area. It's a great clinic... no complaints
Moseabee:
The clinic is losing all the good doctors
Guest:
our VSO budget is 310k and up to 120k is reimbursed by the state.... and it brings in 80+ million...thas a great investment return...does ANY other department in the county able to make that claim ?
Moseabee:
Guest..the v s o office is the lowest paid for the size of the coubty
Moseabee:
Nope all other County offices sucking the money made at the v s o
Guest:
but we do have to consider....the county's unfunded pension level is around 150 million (which is a lot) while the city has well over 300 million with a much smaller budget
RTE:
We should gather up all the homeless vets we can find and then sent the rest of the AB109ers with a one way bus ticket to Washington DC
Moseabee:
Celestina should be making the same as the v s o for her training all the people in the offuce
Moseabee:
The county is hurting because we pay our supervisors too much for the little work they do
Guest:
maybe base it on their applications and successful claims
Moseabee:
Wish I could make 5p grand part yime
Moseabee:
50
Moseabee:
Transparent California
RTE:
me 2
Moseabee:
Look up all state, county, city employees salaries
Guest:
50k just to deny groups access to speak....they forget they work for the people... not the other way around
RTE:
I know
Moseabee:
If we reduce the c.a.o. salary, the supervisors salaries, and county managers salaries wed be doing good great
Moseabee:
Stop giving bonuses to elected officials
ProducerBadBob:
Which elected official is collecting a bonus?
Moseabee:
Make the inmates work off their crimes...reduce labor costs
Moseabee:
The sheriff was
Moseabee:
He refuses to give it back
Guest:
30 million on a 300k investment... not bad...look at the other dept's of the county...lol
Moseabee:
Right?
Moseabee:
Veterans should be supervisors
Guest:
10,000 % return
Moseabee:
Vote out all incumbants
Moseabee:
Let's do it carl
RTE:
Lets do it Carl
Moseabee:
Some are.. if they listen to Jim young
Moseabee:
No more sheeple
Guest:
SCVAC is doing this... but most vets will only talk about it... they won't go to meetings or follow thru...
Moseabee:
Because they have to be invited
Guest:
invitation is coming...and it will be loud
Moseabee:
Scvac. Is not public forum
Guest:
yes it is...
Moseabee:
Only 2 from each vet group
