Sungold: I am so impressed with our fairly new fire chief Gary Gray. He was out patrolling the Sac. river trail yesterday and came across an 8 year old boy and stopped him for questioning. The child admitted to setting some fires. He was referred to a youth fire starter prevention program. I did not know

Sungold: I have called Fire Prevention twice this year for neighborhood fire starter concerns and he handled them himself, even calling me from one site to inform me of the status of his investigation and kept me in the loop until it was fixed.

Sungold: He is a lot like Chief Paoletti, puts on his uniform and get out into the action.

ProducerBadBob: To be blunt...I think that Southern Oregon, which has many of the same concerns and issues, has historically been and ought to be part of the current effort. To simply deny their existence to my view dilutes their claim. Just my $0.02 worth.
