Shastaminded: Can you ask the doctor his thoughts on the use of Physicians Assistants in place of doctors? Any increased risk of medical error? Does it dilute the quality of care to the patient?

Shastaminded: So the 2 year degree of better than the 7 years of education and training than an MD?

ProducerBadBob: No, it's like an engineer versus technician. An engineer can solve DESIGN issues...but a technician can change the fuse!

Shastaminded: Only if the MD is actually closely watching

ProducerBadBob: Right now an MD comes out of medical school with a quarter million in debt. That's a problem.

Shastaminded: I think they easily practice outside their scope if not monitored by their attending MD

ProducerBadBob: I have to shop a new doctor, looking at going back to an Osteopath. They take a systemic rather than symptomatic approach to medicine.

Shastaminded: A Physicians Assistant cannot replace an MD yet many seem to pratice as if they are a Physician.

Shastaminded: Osteopath is a good choice.
