ProducerBadBob: Yeps....I was one of them there CBers...long before the song. Still remember my callsign KGC-0875
onion_grower: http://publicpay.ca.gov/Reports/Cities/City.aspx?entityid=473&fiscalyear=2015
SYSTEM: Please welcome Sungold who just joined the chat.
Sungold: Gary Johnson running for the Libertarian nomination again - just heard that last night.
onion_grower: The RS should become like other Gannett publications which are less editorial. I like the rgj and azcentral
Sungold: Our daughter in law has a standard answer for those who ask her any political questiong. She says, "I guess
Sungold: we will just have to wait and see, won't we?"
onion_grower: City and county politics are interesting this year. Forget about state except for the pot initiative.
Sungold: I like it because there is usually no response back
Sungold: I have heard the Methadone has its own issues.
Sungold: Talk about a giving town...read the new article from Deb S. on A New Cafe about her Scottish village
onion_grower: Please vote NO for the pot intiative. That sends a message to the board of sups to continue to outlaw outdoor commercial growing.
onion_grower: Somehow, by mysterious means, Shasta county's $100 million commercial pot crop turns into $10+ million in heroin and meth.
Sungold: No one should be allowed to grow Marijuana, Look what it is doing to the communities which allow it. McKinleyville, Arcata area has got to pot, literally
onion_grower: Carl should become an expert on Redding employee salaries and benefits. At least print out the top 100 and provide them to candidates.
BenAgain: agree Onion... get the info out so voters can use it to make their November decisions..
Sungold: audio is going in and out
BenAgain: how does everyone feel about our own Megan aligning with Kaepernick ?
ProducerBadBob: Stream output looks OK, but will check.
ProducerBadBob: Sunny listening to the stream on my iPad, sounds good.
BenAgain: CNN poll shows Trump up by 2 %
Sungold: If people, including the media would have simply ignored Kaepernick, it would all have simply gone away. Why make such a big deal out of it. He wanted attention and he got it. I ignore things like that.
SYSTEM: Please welcome Bobs_iPad who just joined the chat.
Sungold: Even Megan's parents have no comment to make and that is how it should be.
Sungold: Bob, have you found that sometimes texts between Android and Apple sometimes get lost in cyberspace
Sungold: I have trouble communicating sometimes with a grandson who has an Apple cell, also a friend.
Sungold: OK, now I am hearing a repeat of what was said before about the app for the deli
Sungold: Total repeat for Orchard event.
BenAgain: Sun, they just want to make sure we all heard it...lol
BenAgain: Ken Murray is asleep most of the time...
BenAgain: Murray believes we need to pay these elevated salaries because there is no other way to compete with other markets... no imagination...always waited for the city manager to tell him what to do...
Bobs_iPad: Sun do a reboot
BenAgain: YES...Murray was a HUGE part of the problem... PARS conversation was on his watch
SYSTEM: Please welcome RussellHunt who just joined the chat.
Bobs_iPad: GAH....Hit Ben by mistake
SYSTEM: Please welcome Sungold who just joined the chat.
ProducerBadBob: hmmmm my Pad does have a few problems with the chat room.
BenAgain: PARS was a retroactive significant raise to pensions... despicable... and Murray was a part of it
BenAgain: closed down an entire PORT...
Sungold: Ken Murray was there when I was....walked into my office ONCE! I was not impressed. He was never helpful like the other council members or City Managers were.
Sungold: I called him on it too, he did not care.
SYSTEM: Guest just signed off.
Sungold: Redding has to go by what other cities do, or else they cannot get the experienced people to work here. they had a lot of trouble getting employees when we were all housed in cold, leaking trailers
RussellHunt: The City must privatize in order to pay for the PERS requirements.
Sungold: They used to do interviews at the Civic, the applicants were not interested when they saw the real City Hall
Sungold: When I was hired they put me in a room at Fire Station 5. It was also a satellite office for the officers working that side of the river. I was appalled so I did some fundraising for carpet, paint and blinds and the volunteers did most of the work. .
Sungold: The new City Hall was needed for many years. It is great the city employees finally have it.
Sungold: Salaries are outrageous but there is no way anyone is going to lower them.
Sungold: Well, I have ten pounds of Hatch Chiles to process, better get to it, will be listening.
BenAgain: Granite Bay is way out Douglas
BenAgain: watched Ann Coulter get crucified last night during the celebrity roast of Rob Lowe...very funny stuff

BenAgain: BOB.....Chatroom posts are not able to be read....when we post it doesn't show in the room at least on mine...I hope you can read this..
chartguy: That is not normal for California. In San Mateo County, government workers earn a lot less than average: http://www.centerforjobs.org/profiles/county/san-mateo/
chartguy: Sad fact is our private business sector is pretty lackluster.
BenAgain: its going to unfunded pension payments
