SYSTEM: Please welcome Carl who just joined the chat.
Carl: I'm back.
CompliantUnawareCitizen: he goes on to say that 'unawareness' is strong but the compliance is fading rapidly and thats a problem we need to address

Sungold: Welcome back Carl, and Good Morning all
ProducerBadBob: Yep computer programs do crash
Sungold: I just could not resist posting this. A father of a two year old posted on our Next Door which is an online, virtual Neighborhood Watch Group for our area, that he wanted everyone to pin his "candy Status" map letting him know who would be home to deliver candy or not to his two year old child. "C
Sungold: "Candy Status Map"????? What happened to porch lights and how much candy does he want for his two year old!
Sungold: Pepole ae actually posting if they will be home or not! I cannot believe the stupidity!
Sungold: Where is this area in South Redding going to be?
Sungold: Thank you
Sungold: I think I had heard all the craziness, but this just blew me away. The guy was serous about his PIN map for Candy Status
CompliantUnawareCitizen: Measure D & E , Prop 61 forum tonight at 6pm at the Vets hall...SCVAC event..come get your questions answered and be part of an alternative solution
Sungold: When we moved to Redding 53 years ago, we wanted to make sure we lived out of the flood plain. I think the Girvan area is in the flood plain.
CompliantUnawareCitizen: We are being bombarded with wikileaks information that has uncovered a level of CORRUPTION that most never thought was possible... and the newschannel are covering Mars trips and we are listening to a shasta adventure hub discussion ?
CompliantUnawareCitizen: wow
Sungold: This is a RS article from 2009, I wonder if any of this has changed? http://www.redding.com/news/change-in-flood-plain-designation-will-cost-olney-creek-neighbors-ep-377259235-355450431.html
ProducerBadBob: CUC this guest was scheduled. And a local event deserves coverage. there's plenty to scream about, yes.
CompliantUnawareCitizen: totally agree..Bob
Sungold: Tuesday night at the city council meeting, Chief Paoletti had two of his volunteers honored for 25 years of service to RPD. They have been volunteering their time since 1991 to the department...very interesting ladies
Sungold: You may want to ask him about these long term volunteers!
CompliantUnawareCitizen: denying my second amendment right !!!!
CompliantUnawareCitizen: our PD Chief is too politically correct !!!
CompliantUnawareCitizen: they won't come....he just said call us.... 2 hours later..they still won't be there unless you give them more tax dollars
CompliantUnawareCitizen: get a restraining order...pay more fees...to protect your business...what a joke
CompliantUnawareCitizen: FEES...FEES
CompliantUnawareCitizen: you won't be there for hours...what do we do in the mean time
CompliantUnawareCitizen: what a difference a few miles makes...the chief in Anderson has a COMPLETE different POLICY on how to handle things
CompliantUnawareCitizen: Carl....is the 7 day NOTICE...is that POLICY or LAW ?
CompliantUnawareCitizen: they were told of an idea to lease city property to organizations...Lions, VFW etc... for one dollar per year ...making that private property..they would no longer be required to store or give notice... but that wouldn't help them get their tax passed
CompliantUnawareCitizen: we need city leaders that can think outside the box...they want to politically correct and expand policies beyond even the law...take selfies with Billy Clinton and not do what is necessary to FIX our problems...just give us more money
CompliantUnawareCitizen: they were told of an idea to lease city property to organizations...Lions, VFW etc... for one dollar per year ...making that private property..they would no longer be required to store or give notice... but that wouldn't help them get their tax passed
CompliantUnawareCitizen: the next day they ignored this idea and instead introduced another 'adopt a neighborhood' program with no teeth and just more distraction
CompliantUnawareCitizen: this feels like an attempt to diffuse the energy of the local citizenry to create more compliance and improve the opportunity to get the tax passed...this is pathetic...
CompliantUnawareCitizen: the LAW says 72 hours... so WHY 7 DAYS... why not the idea of leasing the property to others to make it private property....
CompliantUnawareCitizen: private property...no storing their garbage... no 72 hours...or 7 days...immediate....
CompliantUnawareCitizen: if it's private property we could RPD and they can move them off immediately !!!!
CompliantUnawareCitizen: if private property RPD is not handcuffed
CompliantUnawareCitizen: no notice and storage of trash
CompliantUnawareCitizen: Carl, if that property is leased to a group...ask the Chief if they could take a call and immediately escort them off the property and obviously don't have to store anything because it is not city property...the group can clean it up
CompliantUnawareCitizen: 13 CSO's and OFFICERS that will EXACERBATE the Pension issue
SYSTEM: Please welcome Russell who just joined the chat.
Sungold: Bob Brannon has a terrible job to do...I have to admire him for sticking it out for so long
CompliantUnawareCitizen: why consider ANYTHING that would make our Pension problem worse..
Sungold: He definetly needs help
CompliantUnawareCitizen: Measure D & E , Prop 61 forum tonight at 6pm at the Vets hall...SCVAC event..come get your questions answered and be part of an alternative solution
Sungold: The pension problem was made worse by the bad investments Calpers made in the housing bubble....it was all working prior to that
Sungold: I think we have got that CUC
CompliantUnawareCitizen: Sun, I agree, the biggest issue to be addressed is the outdated investment model that has continually pushed us deeper into debt..
CompliantUnawareCitizen: need them to announce it in this hour, Sun
Russell: Why has RPD ignored the growing homeless camp in the bushes at Bechelli and S. Bonneyview ?
CompliantUnawareCitizen: Russell... the worse it gets the more attention it gets the more likely their tax measure passes... pretty easy thinking
CompliantUnawareCitizen: where is that barber shop ?
Carl: Cypress Square across frpom the Subway shop.
CompliantUnawareCitizen: a veteran here in town is talking about an alternative to measure D... a special election in March(I think) with a smaller city and a smaller county tax measure both Specific...sounds like a winner
CompliantUnawareCitizen: intent ? like Hillary didn't 'intend' to give away confidential info....
CompliantUnawareCitizen: we need a Old Guard police Chief...this guy is too politically correct... stockton wasn't exactly a bright star on his resume either...time to rethink this decision...he needs a big city somewhere that will respect all his political skills
CompliantUnawareCitizen: more police will get us NOTHING
CompliantUnawareCitizen: the JAIL is everything...it holds the 1st solution to everything
Russell: The Board of Supes rejected a jail and a prison. Blame them.
CompliantUnawareCitizen: Jail is where ALL the money should go... CARL,,,CARL,,,CARL... that would be thinking outside the box...this guy has NONE of that
CompliantUnawareCitizen: ship them somewhere else....rent rather than OWN....despicable
Russell: Can't send prisoners out of state anymore. The Supes blew it and nobody says a word.
CompliantUnawareCitizen: oh my...your job is sooo difficult that you just can't do it...you should resign...quit whining and get the job done...
CompliantUnawareCitizen: can't send them out of state...because that would open up competition...and would hurt the state on fees...
CompliantUnawareCitizen: Private Prison....it's time...quit whining about how difficult it would be and let's turn this problem into a windfall for our city and county...amazing amount of jobs and services
CompliantUnawareCitizen: stillwater could be leased or handed over to a private prison...wouldn't cost us much more than the property and would bring in many high quality jobs and services
Russell: Require Govt. ID to cash in recycling items. Go to Bigfoot Recycling behind Safeway on Cypress and see the life forms.
CompliantUnawareCitizen: Measure D & E , Prop 61 forum tonight at 6pm at the Vets hall...SCVAC event..come get your questions answered and be part of an alternative solution
Russell: Calif. has private prisons with state prison guards. So not much cheaper.
SYSTEM: Guest just signed off.
CompliantUnawareCitizen: we aren't paying them Russell... they are a private prison
CompliantUnawareCitizen: let's hear it
CompliantUnawareCitizen: 2 years
CompliantUnawareCitizen: the more we can spend taxpayer money...the more the more the more
CompliantUnawareCitizen: just send them all to southern Cal forget about the rest of the plans....
Russell: If Measure D passes, the public employee unions will sue for the funds to go towards pensions. Starman financed ridiculous schemes but ignored funding pensions.
CompliantUnawareCitizen: wow...good supervisors would have expanded the 64 beds to 128 so that we could rent beds to other countys and make money....wow.. what a missed opportunity
CompliantUnawareCitizen: Russell....spot on
CompliantUnawareCitizen: arrests...no jail time...just expand the most wanted list...
CompliantUnawareCitizen: townhall meeting...lol...that should bring in your usual 17 fans from the city
CompliantUnawareCitizen: you brought in 1200 for the first town hall and you guys found a way to diffuse it...amazing
CompliantUnawareCitizen: LACK OF LEADERSHIP !!!!!!!!
