onion_grower: Sounds like bright young people. Hope they move to one of America's tech centers like metro Reno. According to the U.S. census recent estimates, metro
DeplorableBadBob: Onion...have to say...after going to the Mini MakerFaire...you really have zero what the hell you are talking about...with all due respect.
DeplorableBadBob: *idea
onion_grower: metro Redding is losing population. RGJ.com, sister pub to the R-S reports one good story after another about the success of Reno under capitalism. With a Republicans having a voice in congress, capitalist parts of the country have a bright future.
DeplorableBadBob: Your Mileage May Vary =)
onion_grower: Like usual, Northern Nevada votes republican. Unfortunately Vegas has so many busboys, etc that the state voted democrat by a small margin.
Sungold: The facts man versus Bad Bob.....I vote for Bad Bob!

Sungold: Linda is right, I'm certain the SHASCOM dispatchers are gearing up for the 5150's to come out of the bushes tonight
Sungold: Yep, they will tell you the stories!

onion_grower: Redding used to have Cadd, Jones and Bosetti (before he changed size because of his baseball business) serving as a check on the power of Redding city staff.
onion_grower: Now Redding has five city councilmen in the pocket of city staff. They will rubber stamp anything the city staff want in their never ending quest to plunder the citizens.
Sungold: Sounds like something Craigs List would do!
Sungold: They better come up with a new name, Arcadia is taken.
Sungold: I was not a fan of who we had to vote for either, but I did my duty and voted for the one I felt we had a chance with!
Sungold: Now we will wait and see....and pray!
MrPeaboddy: I still watch football, but I root against the 49ers.

Jarhead: Somebody throw some water on Bob...he is getting VERY excited...lol
Sungold: That is OK if you live in the country, but in the City you need to rake up your leaves. It blocks storm drains, clogs the creeks downstream and causes all sorts of issues. Huge discussion about this on our Next Door last week
MrPeaboddy: Thanks Linda, I will say you recommended that my house look un-kept. I'm FREE
Sungold: What is the big project starting up on the corner of Bechelli and Hartnell, just ot the left of the bridge?
Sungold: Huge earth moving equipment there plus all the drainage barriers surrounding the entire project are laid.
MrPeaboddy: I'm usually against the environmental enthusiasses but there is a collection of trash floating in the pacific ocean. We should stop the driftnet fishermen from over fishing and use them to clean up our act in these trash drifts.
Sungold: Re: leaves, Redding needs to implement leaves removal program like Chico has. Everyone rakes up laves and puts them into the street. Truck comes along, sucks them up and no more leaves until next time.
Daniel: I am also DEPLORABLE!
MrPeaboddy: Leaf me alone
Sungold: I understand a good portion of that junk has come from floods and earthquake destruction from various coastal areas.
Daniel: Too many people would put them in the gutter. But I like the idea Sungold
Sungold: I have been down there many times when the leaves are being picked up and it is so cool to watch. I'd love to be able to do that. We have so many leaves, we have to bag them and put a few into the two yard waste cans for many weeks just to get rid of the darned things
Sungold: The stores have signs up right in your face, at the check stands, and many are asking you if you have your own bags.
Sungold: Safeway actually pulled their plastic grocery bags out of the store. You only get paper and must pay for them. unless you have your own.
MrPeaboddy: I remember living in Spokan, the maple leaves are so beautiful, but so thick when they fall. 3 feet!
Sungold: We love
Sungold: We live in an area with lost of oaks, maples, and all sorts of other shedding trees. Last rain, one street flooded because no one raked up the leaves and the storm drains got overloaded with them and backed up
MrPeaboddy: I have a problem with any city raises.. they need to barter down or lose their jobs
MrPeaboddy: Harry Reid is such a prune face

MrPeaboddy: I'd like to reach out and have our schools start teaching the constitution and lets get some trade classes back. We need PE to be revitalized in our schools.
