onion_grower: Results by precinct are interesting to me. County wide, LaMalfa won 67%, but there are some precincts where there were many more democrat votes. Some precincts have a lot of indians. The high crime precincts, like Parkview and Garden Tract also. The map is not as good as it used to be.

onion_grower: Even though CA was not a contested state and LaMalfa has a safe seat, a record number of people registered to vote and voted. I think crime motivated people.

Sungold: So sad what is going to happen with those entry level workers and college students who used to be able to get lots of hours at a fast food place . The people will always find ways to get around the gov. stupidity but no one wins.

Angel: You are right Sun, my nieces and nephews are working their way through college. It is not the most glamorous but the bottomline is these kids are getting good work experience ....there is no safe place there for them to hide when they get a mean customer

Sungold: We had a grandson move in with us for 6 months. He was from Ohio and trying to settle in CA with a good job. He was able to get a job right away working for Burker King and they allowed him the time to go for job interviews, etc. It was great, and paid for his gas and ins.

RTE: I think we should repeal Obamacare and leave it to the states and capitalism, but allow any company from any state to compete in any other state.

Angel: You are seeing a lot of older folks in these fast food restaurants, sad

Sungold: Our grandson was in training in Ohio to be management for one of the fast food places. He realized that was not what he wanted to do the rest of his life. When he asked if he could come to CA we jumped at the chance to help him.
