Mike: Mr. Crain said that part of the increase was due to a lawsuit from SoCal. That just confirms one of my agruments against "taxing locals" to pay for state/fed programs that we have no control over.I.E. homeless, jail space, etc.

Sungold: I suspect the city street leaf pickup may be more costly. I watched in Chico a few weeks ago, the truck comes along to pick up but they were also using employees to shovel into the truck I did not speak with them, nor did I spend a lot of time watching.

RTE: I'm not upset with our city services... just the fact that these people cannot be fired and they keep having raises when in reality citizens have to tighten their belts
