If you bring up "Wunderground.com" and look at the "wundermap" you see dozens of stations reporting in. Some of them are clearly not working right but taking an average there's a 10+ degree variance just in the valley.

It is amazing all the microclimates in Redding. We have to cover our citrus tree in cold weather, yet 1/2 a block down the street is a forest go citrus, and he never covers. It can be snowing in one part and sunny where we live, which we call the banana belt
