Volunteerism should be a choice not forced. I worked for many years with the volunteer side of hospitals, government, and schools. Some of the best folks I have ever met were volunteers. Personally, I have 45 years of volunteer service under my belt and I did it because I love it

I can also say, had I been forced into it, I would have hated it. Our kids also volunteer, and do it because they lived with me and saw what it brought into my life.

I feel sorry for those who have never experienced volunteer work...it is so much fun, educational, and one meets lifelong friends.
