Police on campus at Berkeley and who responded to the riot should be fired immediately... bring in the Hells Angels for security until new officers could be trained...take a while, let the snowflakes meet the angles..
BerkeleyFascists:
one arrest..
Sungold:
Dark Sky app is not showing as much rain as I originally thought
Sungold:
Wow, my audio went out, just came back in and Trish was doing the weather again. what is up with that?
ProducerBadBob:
Try to shut down browser, reboot, restart you're picking up cache for some reason rather than the live stream.
BerkeleyFascists:
they are going t get confirmed just relax and smile and lets focus on the change that is occurring... this is all the Dims have now...obstruction
BerkeleyFascists:
relax

six more weeks of winter...so says the ground hog
Sungold:
Thanks Bob
Sungold:
Aw, what memories
ProducerBadBob:
So who actually got the joke =)
ProducerBadBob:
One of Bill Murray's best roles ever.
Sungold:
Congratulats to D.J. Miller made it official, by choosing the U.S. Army's military academy West Point at a special ceremony at Chico High School. What an accomplished young man
ProducerBadBob:
thought: It's really distressing that two of the biggest paychecks in Shasta County are on the taxpayer dime... >
Sungold:
That was some show yesterday. If they need more business, why are they not more friendly to business?
ProducerBadBob:
Wrong on several levels IMO
Sungold:
Seems to be the trend among City and County gov. now...rape the populace.
ProducerBadBob:
:We have to attract the "best and brightest" ....
ProducerBadBob:
I will bet that there are any number of downsized corporate types who will come work here for $150K and be pretty happy with it.
Sungold:
I could not believe it last year, our neighborhood was thrown into the mix to pay for public landscaping areas, in neighborhoods about a mile from here. We have zero public landscaping in our area which is over 45 years old.
Sungold:
They said we had to pay because we "drive" on that street!!
ProducerBadBob:
Retired Military personnel who were in charge of large programs during their career who still have a lot of time left on their clocks.
BerkeleyFascists:
somebody gag her
ProducerBadBob:
Gag who? Trish?
ProducerBadBob:
Sorry?

Please welcome Mike who just joined the chat.
Mike:
In 2018 we will have a chance to win our city back. Throw out Weaver, Schrader and Sullivin.
BerkeleyFascists:
Bob...lol
Sungold:
Then folks will complain about the new ones too. Who would you like in office?
BerkeleyFascists:
agree Mike
Sungold:
They all promise to do this and that. It cannot happen in the short time they are there
BerkeleyFascists:
Tillerson gave a good speech to all his new 'employees' promising change and efficiency and sending a message that we may not all like the results of the election but we are Americans first
ProducerBadBob:
It costs a pile of money to get yourself elected. This is a reality and sadly it requires being beholden to donors. Or you need to be independently wealthy which means you are part of the established lower power structure.
ProducerBadBob:
*power structure
BerkeleyFascists:
that is slowly changing
Mike:
Principled conservative
BerkeleyFascists:
social media and other ways to get your message to the voter is helping
Sungold:
Way too much time and money is spent on getting elected. Totally ridiculous, you end up paying back favors to donors. they should have a time limit of 6 weeks or so to toot their horns and then drop it.
ProducerBadBob:
If "The Angry Mob" could unify and contribute to someone who expresses their views that person would stand a good chance of changing the dynamic. But getting a group of passionate independent thinkers...that's called being a Libertarian... :P
BerkeleyFascists:
lol...agree
Sungold:
Everyone is tired of the long, drawn out election process and frankly many of us turn it out of our scope and do not watch or listen
BerkeleyFascists:
wait..wait..wait...close the deal....invite them to a dinner....maybe some fondue and you can close the deal !
BerkeleyFascists:
Sun, that could be a way to build a foundation for this community...
Mike:
Bob, you nailed it. The "haves" have driven up the cost, that freezes out people of principle from seeking office.
ProducerBadBob:
Back before they Mutated...during the 1930's it was Will Rogers who famously observed "I'm not a member of an organized political party...I'm a Democrat"
BerkeleyFascists:
agree Mike... but changing what is acceptable in our own elections could assist in bringing back the candidates that really have something to offer
Mike:
There are so many great leaders in our community that are not "connected".
ProducerBadBob:
Now it seems the extremes of both major Parties have outshouted more reasonable voices.
BerkeleyFascists:
lol...love Will Rogers and his 'IED' humor...leads you along and before you know it ...you have stepped on the punch line
BerkeleyFascists:
Mike...or refuse to go beg for money..
Mike:
Bingo
BerkeleyFascists:
a couple of candidates that may be involved as alternatives with the recall are claiming they needs 10's of thousands to run...they don't get it
ProducerBadBob:
Not sure if it was Rogers who also said. "Anyone smart enough to actually serve well in office is too smart to run."
ProducerBadBob:
An extension of The Peter Principal I think.
BerkeleyFascists:
EPA Pruitt is about to be voted approved in Committee and moved to the floor for approval.. they surpassed the Dims who were boycotting
Mike:
Both the city and county lack leaders. It seems we are stuck with "place holders" and the status quo.
BerkeleyFascists:
leadership is the big vacuum that we are having to find ways to overcome... this will change
ProducerBadBob:
HG Wells' "The Time Machine" envisioned a world in which civilization was divided between the delicate elevated "Eoli" who lived a life of ease supported by the "Morlocks" who did all the actual work under slave conditions...didn't end well.
Mike:
Keeping my fingers crossed, that Starman's replacement will bring leadership that we need.
BerkeleyFascists:
Eoli's need more and more Morlocks and eventually the number of Morelocks is too big to control....once they realize that...Eoli's can't find enough safe spaces
BerkeleyFascists:
we need a hiring freeze... we have (2) assistant city managers... let them manage and lets save the 300,000 and begin to rebuild...no more hires until we get our finances under control
Mike:
If you look back at the city before Warren compared to today, management positions have exploded along with their salaries .

Please welcome CousinVini who just joined the chat.
CousinVini:
So where are the people on this chat?
ProducerBadBob:
Right here.
CousinVini:
I used to come on and you would see all the past statements
ProducerBadBob:
The attendance ebbs and flows. Lots of people listen without login
Carl:
Depends on angst in the air.
ProducerBadBob:
there's been a few tweaks to the interface, easier to read font, etc.
CousinVini:
I think its the updated program
Sungold:
Redding also needs companies who are willing to send promising employees to obtain further education specific to their jobs. like Mercy Medical, and City of Redding does.
Sungold:
There is not going to be a mass of trained workers sitting around Redding waiting for a job. they go elsewhere, just like our kids did.
CousinVini:
We need a state government that doesn't severely restrict our natural products..
CousinVini:
forests and mining
Sungold:
When Mike Warren came in, he consolidated several departments, took out those who where not producing and put them elsewhere. He did a good job getting the fluff out.
Sungold:
He consulted with a lot of us who got around the city to many other departments and saw what was what. It took some time but he did it
Sungold:
Trump is going to dodge the press pool. they think they have to be there to report any little thing...,in case he stumbles off the step or bumps his head, or any other slight bit of info they can throw out.
CousinVini:
The Democrats were so invested in the United Nations, restricting our industries and making us a banana republic. They thought they were going to desolve the country into a New World Order..
Mike:
Harry Reed retired as a millionaire
ProducerBadBob:
The metamessage from NPR nothing short of sickening...every single story this morning managed to have something negative that could be blamed on Trump.
CousinVini:
Harry should go to jail for the deals he was pulling off using the BLM to ruin our ranchers and farmers buying their land cheap and reselling it to world conglomerates.
CousinVini:
The Bundy's should be released... it's a crime what has happened to them
Mike:
Time for NPR to loose it's funding
CousinVini:
Trump should have the justice department look into their case
Sungold:
NPR..National Public Radio? Which station are you listening to?
BerkeleyFascists:
agreed NPR should have a balanced restriction that if they fail they lose everything...
ProducerBadBob:
Mornings listen to the BBC and NPR to keep track of the whacks. =) Also I get my cardiac exercise from screaming at the radio
CousinVini:
In Paint Your Wagon, Eastwood sings... that didn't exactly make my day.
BerkeleyFascists:
lol
CousinVini:
Hey Bad Bob... I'm trying to clone a HDD laptop drive to replace it. Would it work just to copy the file system to the new drive?
ProducerBadBob:
OK PC or Mac?
SYSTEM:
Please welcome Dunbar who just joined the chat.
CousinVini:
PC
CousinVini:
It's a seagate..but the laptop has a hitochi
ProducerBadBob:
I would recommend going with one of the new SSD drives (boots scary fast) There are a number of "clone" programs. Windows can be a bit tricky but it relies on the machine's unique identifier in the hardware so a close should work OK. But use a clone program not simply copy.
CousinVini:
The seagate clone program can't wee the seagate, even when I have formated it and installed it into the laptop
SYSTEM:
Please welcome Dunbar who just joined the chat.
Dunbar:
Chat rm is not working
Sungold:
Time to get going...enjoy your day on earth today!
CousinVini:
I thought about it... and I have the SSDs in several of my computers/
ProducerBadBob:
We use the Acronus program here and it works well can hot swap a drive when it fails.
ProducerBadBob:
Acronis
CousinVini:
Do you have to purchase that program?
ProducerBadBob:
Yes.
ProducerBadBob:
let me look.
ProducerBadBob:
Costs about 40 bucks
Carl:
Dunbar--we see your chat.
ProducerBadBob:
BUT...saves you a LOT of irritation.
ProducerBadBob:
Seems to be working Dunbar
CousinVini:
DicWizard that is supposed to provided by Seagate doesn't detect the drive, so they restrict me from using it
ProducerBadBob:
Not sure why it would not see it. PC's can be twitchy when it comes to changing the drives out.
CousinVini:
It has an eSata jack... maybe if I use an eSata cable it will see the drive
ProducerBadBob:
http://www.laptopmag.com/articles/ssd-upgrade-tutorial
ProducerBadBob:
usually you use a external USB connector to do the clone.
CousinVini:
seems it should be the same with SSDa
BerkeleyFascists:
can't believe an outsider owns the cascade even though the community paid for most the renovations
ProducerBadBob:
USB-2 is dreadful slow but will work. 3 is better.
CousinVini:
The eSata jack is also a USB3
BerkeleyFascists:
I went to the cascade 50 years ago
BerkeleyFascists:
when Carl was 50

I thought Bad Bob hated NPR? They are so liberal.
CousinVini:
I'm sure the Cascade dates back to around 1940
CousinVini:
I googled it .. it was built in 1935
