justdooit: Actually born in Taft, raised in Yreka. I OWN Mt. Shasta...climbed mountain behind our house, dodge the last native Yreka indian, and when at the top of the hill...saw Mt. Shasta(with SNOW) and CLAIMED that sucka...lol

justdooit: YOU GUYS & DOLLS GOT THAT STRAIGHT? hahaha...I also owned the Klamath River and all the steelhead/salmon in it...I gave it up tho...

justdooit: Moved to Paradise in 61...I then OWNED the West Branch of the Feather River...and all the fishies in it....then MOONBEAM brown drained all the reservoirs to save a bait fish...which NOW can't even be FOUND...

justdooit: Mom still alive at 92 in Paradise...will moof there SOON to be with her til the end....Paradise was SOOOOO NICE in 61...grrr

justdooit: WOW...My Dad had a Chevron station at the 'Y'...don't know if you know where that is...maybe before your time...

justdooit: He began at the current Chevron in middle of town...in about 1947

Tatonka: my family goes way back there alot are still there

justdooit: Dad busted it in that station...but we did ok...used to be alfalfa fields below us...then commercialism took over...I couldn't live back there tho...

Lyndia: Our family is from that area. We both went Happy Camp High

justdooit: We lived before the I 5 was built..on the old road up from the fair grounds...

Lyndia: Our uncle had a tire shop there

justdooit: WOW...Dad and I fished the Klamath many times...

Lyndia: We not only fished but panned for gold and at that time you could swim in the Klamath

justdooit: When I lived there , there was a Safeway and Purity next to each other in town...I think the Bank of America is still in the same place...

justdooit: YIPES...We had to soak our fish in salt to take out the TULE smell from Klamath Lake...lol

justdooit: yes...only dam back then was COPCO...They built Irongate later but before we left...

justdooit: That last dam ruined the fishing on the river...Water fludtuations from rain brought the steelies up...Fished at Steelhead Tavern at junction of Smith and Klamath...

RallySally: Doug LaMalfa recently voted for the Highway Bill which contained a re-authorization of the Import-Export Bank.
